We are excited about your upcoming baptism at Lake Michigan on Sunday, July 26!
SHIRT PICKUP
We would love it if everyone wore their baptism shirt on the day of baptism, but understand if you would prefer not to. Please just make sure whatever you wear is dark in color, including your shorts/pants. We will also have changing tents on the beach for your convenience.
If you haven’t already picked up your Lake Baptism t-shirt, it will be available for you this Sunday, July 26, from 8:30 am-12:30 pm.
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Please arrive at the “Baptism Check-In” tent on the beach between 5:00-5:30 pm so we know you’re there and can give you instructions on which baptism group you’ll be in.

- Cedar Lake and Hobart/Portage - please go to the Welcome Desk
- Crown Point - please go to the table along the South wall between the Auditorium and the Kids Ministry hallway

WHAT TO BRING
- A towel
- A change of clothes for after the baptism, if desired
- Any necessary toiletries, etc.
- Note: the only restrooms available at the beach are porta-potties
WHERE TO PARK
- 2 options:
- Limited paid parking ($3.65 per hour) is available at the beach via mobile pay QR code signs only (no parking booth anymore)
- Free offsite lot at Wirt-Emerson Academy (Link to Map & Directions). Park and ride the free shuttle to and from the event. Shuttle service begins at 5 pm. (Rides back to the shuttle lot will be available during the event if you need to return to your vehicle early.)
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER
- We will be watching the weather closely and will post on our website and social media if we have to cancel the event
- We will also be emailing you directly to let you know it is canceled no later than 2:30 pm on Sunday
- We will be in contact in the weeks to follow to reschedule your baptism
