Lebanon GoTrip – Bethel Church and Ministries

Lebanon GoTrip

A team of 10 from Bethel went to Beirut, Lebanon to serve with Kids Alive International alongside The Welcome Network NWI to lead all-day summer programs for their residential boys and school children.

There were so many incredible encounters that occurred on this trip. One of the days, children were beading “salvation bracelets” as the team explained the gospel story. The Dar El Awlad school at Kids Alive Lebanon employs a Muslim Bangladeshi man working on their campus as a groundskeeper who helps with lots of odds-and-ends tasks. He happened to be in the room and was intrigued by the bracelets. One of the recently-graduated grade 6 girls excitedly translated the message from Arabic to Hindi, which he understands better than English or Arabic. After the brief explanation, he said, “That’s the first time I’ve ever heard the whole story.” He was encouraged to read the Bible, which he said he’d love to do! He now has the Bible downloaded in Bengali on his phone and a Sri Lankan lady helped to find a Bengali New Testament to put in his hands that day. Praise God! It has been exhilarating to see how God has orchestrated this multi-national effort to bring the Word of God to him. Please keep him in your prayers, namely, that the Lord would use his reading of the Bible to draw him to salvation in Jesus.

There is so much need for Jesus around the world. Please continue to pray that gospel seeds would be planted among least-reached people groups and bear much fruit. Please also pray for Bethel’s ministry partners around the world.
