What We Believe About Worship
Worship of God is the most fundamental value at Bethel Church. We believe that worship is all of life and must be saturated in truth and proceed from a passionate heart.
Worship is the ultimate priority of every believer and is a declaration of what is valued and cherished. At Bethel, Jesus Christ is the center of such praise. One way the church worships is to join together in a weekly celebration that proclaims the greatness of God. But worship is far more than what takes place during our weekend services. Rather, worship must permeate all that the church is and does. In the end, Bethel is not about itself; it is about exalting Christ through a life of true and heartfelt worship.
Why We Sing the Songs We Sing
We believe corporate worship needs to be founded on Scripture. We choose songs that are biblically accurate and doctrinally sound regardless of the popularity or age. We also focus on being vertical in our corporate worship times. We view our services as a time to prioritize and exalt Christ above everything else. While we value horizontal relationships, we feel that our corporate worship time should be focused on and purposefully raising high the name of Jesus Christ.
