We believe that God has blessed us with a great facility for ministry in NW Indiana. We also believe that with that blessing He has also given us the honor and task of maintaining His facility with the utmost of care and consideration. Each month our deacons lead a workday called Second Saturday. This is a day that we set aside time to repair, maintain and upgrade our facilities in order for them not to be a hinderance to our ministry as well as to give thanks and glory to God for His generosity.
Second Saturday happens... You guessed it! Every second Saturday of the month. From 8am - Noon, teams of servants work in various parts of the facility both inside and out. Skilled labor is always appreciated, but certainly not necessary. There are many things that need to be done on a regular basis that require no experience at all. Even children are often involved in maintaining our facility, which makes this day a great opportunity for families to serve together.
